Adopt a Wild Koala

Your adoption helps with the rescue and treatment of sick and injured koalas and release back to their home range where possible. Your adoption also assists with the conservation and expansion of habitat, collection of information for research relating to habitat, disease, nutrition and habits of wild koalas. It also helps to provide educational material to increase public awareness of all aspects of the koala.
The cost for an adoptions within Australia is $60 per year. Overseas adoptions are $70 per year which includes postage. eAdoptions are $40 per year and are emailed to you.

Five Koala Joeys who have been hand reared by Koala Hospital volunteers and have been released recently – Hockey Luna, Kooloonbung Close Trevor, Kooloonbung Tasha, Balmoral Mini and Myoora Jarrah
Rare Blue eyed Koala on Adoption Program – Lion Leo has amazing blue eyes which is a rare genetic phenomenon as koalas usually have brown eyes – Lion Leo was released in September 2019
Burns Victim from the recent Fires – LINR (Lake Innes Nature Reserve) Anwen. Anwen was the first female koala to be rescued from the firegrounds at Lake Innes Nature Reserve. Anwen recovered from her injuries and was released back to her home range on 3rd April, 2020 after 5 months recuperating at the Koala Hospital.
Adopt A Wild Koala Package
By sharing in an Adopt A Wild Koala adoption of a wild koala you will receive an adoption package which consists of a Certificate of Adoption that has the photo of the adopted koala, the name of the koala, the name of the person adopting the koala and the date of adoption. You can include a special message to the recipient.

International postage can take 2 to 3 weeks to arrive.
Eadoptions are fully tax deductible within Australia. $50 of each $60 Adopt A Wild Koala (AAWK) package is tax-deductible within Australia.
e-Adopt Certificate
By sharing in an ‘eAdopt’ adoption of a wild koala you will receive by email a Certificate of Adoption that has the photo of the adopted koala, the name of the person adopting the koala, the name of the koala and the date of adoption.
What’s Included:
- e-Adoption Certificate received by email.
An eAdoption is AU$40 per year and is fully tax-deductible within Australia.
